Kids get a taste of the great outdoors with the Nebraska Outdoors Expo in Kearney, Nebraska.

The 2007 Outdoor Expo is presented by the Nebraska Games and Parks Commission and Cabela's, Inc.

  • Archery shooting at bullseye or full-sized animal 3D targets
  • Instruction and canoeing on Kea Lake
    Exploring various campsites
  • Tasting outdoor cooking
    Hiking along a shoreline trail
  • Observing hunting dog training techniques
  • Building a duck blind and mounting a tree stand
  • Visiting with conservation officers, viewing law enforcement equipment
  • Attending educational workshops on animal and bird behavior
  • Viewing a raptor demonstration
    Visiting a trapper's camp to learn about trapping history and equipment
