Not only is the Huddleston Deluxe lure $39, but its also huge! My gut tells me this thing could only club a largemouth to death, but apparently people are catching monsters with this thing.
Someone made a comment post on the best gift ideas for fishermen article that only said, "Huddleston Deluxe". I did a Google Search on it and it was amazing what I found. A lure that costs $39 and some amazing stories.
What Some People Will Do to Get One
In California it is illegal to use trout for bait. However, largemouth bass love to gobble them down. The Huddleston Deluxe looks like a small trout. When people see how successful these things work in California waters fisherman have reported being offered $100 to buy right on the spot.
Another story in Southern California had a fisherman actually pull a gun on a group fishing with the lure. He accused them of using live trout as bait. The man gave a begrudging appology before being hauled away to jail. This one is probably a "fishing tail", but this only confirms how popular the lure is on the coast.
More Information on the Huddleston Deluxe
You can get more information on the official website as well as purchase one. I have actually ordered one, but I will have to wait until Spring to try it out. I will post a review and pictures of the "monster largemouth" I catch.

The west coast waters are full of trout, so I'm not surprised that these work.
