The Nebraska Games and Parks has once again give us a great tool, the online Fish Identification Guide. This is a really slick application. Thanks NGPC for all your hard work!
"No more guessing what the unknown fish was you had an encounter with. The following identification key can be used to identify most of the 100-plus fish species you could encounter in the various waters of the state. Besides providing a colored ID key, information is also given on each particular fish species that may include where it can be commonly found, general habits, habitat preference, whether it is native or "introduced", what it eats, and the likelihood of capturing it. The key will eventually be expanded to include more information about the numerous 'small' minnow species."
