First off stripers get huge. In Indiana, our state rroecd is 39lbs or so and were aren't even know for stripers. So I would recommend stronger line than 6, maybe 10 at the minimum. Just about any bait will work actually. Plastic shrimp might work, but not the real stuff you can eat. I use shrimp for cats in the lake our rroecd was caught and never caught a striper that way. If you want small ones, pink jigheads with Mr. Twister bodies work great under 'bout any conditions, I've caught several 2lbrs with them.20 years aquarium experience.
